Intro:
This inpatient and outpatient clinical rotation will be with a board-certified physician in Southfield and Novi Michigan. The physician is trained in internal medicine and nephrology and runs a busy practice. The student will get to rotate with him at the hospital and dialysis unit where you will get exposed to a wide variety of pathologies. The physician has a long experience teaching medical students, residents and physician assistant students.
Responsibilities and expectations:
1) Students will be seeing patients, taking history, performing physical examinations in the acute inpatient setting as well as the outpatient setting. The student will round with the physician on the dialysis patients in the dialysis units as well.
2) Setting: inpatient and outpatient.
3) The student is expected to get a letter of recommendation if they perform well during the rotation
4) Applicants will be evaluated upon signing up by the physician.
Requirements:
1) We require that all students have up-to-date immunization such as Hep B, Tdap, Covid -19, MMR, flu and a background check (details will be provided upon signing up).
2) Good English and clinical skills. Those with poor English communication skills will be getting a refund minus transaction fees of 5%. All applicants must have completed at least one year of rotations in their home country or the US. USMLE exams competition is preferred but not required.
3) Students will be given a paper that proves their participation in the rotation. However, it is the student’s responsibility to get a visa to the US to attend the rotation. We are not qualified to answer any questions related to US visas (please reach out to a lawyer in that regard).
4) Fees are non-refundable if the student was not able to show up to the rotation (if notice was given 60 days ahead of the rotation start date, a 50% refund will be processed). For any questions prior to making the order, please reach out to info@tmg.wpcodix.com
5) Affordable accommodation is available, but it is not part of the rotation expenses.
Duration: Rotations start on Monday of each week and last for 4 weeks
