This plan is based on where you are in your journey, your achievements thus far, the specialty you are applying for, the programs you are targeting, and any additional information obtained before the consultation. The residency advising sessions are very flexible and tailored to the needs of the applicants. If the applicant wants the advisor to focus on discussing a particular topic or question, we will also do that.
After you sign up, we will send you a list of available advisors and you will choose the advisor that best fits your needs. We have a list of advisors from different specialties, research interests, and backgrounds.
After you register, we will send you a catalog of our expert advisors to choose from and resources you can utilize to prepare for your session. Then, we will connect you with your preferred advisor and set up the advising session based on your availability. You will meet virtually with your advisor and follow up as needed.
All tutoring is done one-on-one via online platforms (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, etc). This allows the most convenience for both the tutor and the student. Students have limited time, and this eliminates the need to travel.

Advising sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled session. If you miss a scheduled session without prior notification, the session will be considered completed given the busy schedules of our advisors. Cancelations within 24 hours will only be considered in extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Yes, you can choose a different advisor for each session. However, we recommend you do at least 2-3 hours with the same advisor for optimal tracking of feedback and progress.
