Getting a United States Clinical Experience (USCE) is a major part of applying for the residency match in the USA. Many students and graduates start searching for USCEs when reaching their final year of medical school. It is a great opportunity to showcase your abilities and a good learning experience to know about US healthcare.

If you are still a medical student, you can participate in electives, which are hands-on clinical experiences in a US hospital where you get to do the tasks/responsibilities that a U.S. medical student does in their final year of medical school.

If your school is not on this list, it doesn’t mean you can’t secure electives; it simply means it’s unlikely you can participate in these specific programs.
